A method for quantizing of signal values of a by means of a radio interface received or signal to be transferred comprising quantizing of signal values, which in a first value range, according to a first quantization with a large number of quantization steps, wherein the quantization step width between two quantization steps are derived from a linear quantization with the same number of quantization steps of at most by the step size of the linear quantization with the same number of different quantization steps; and quantizing of signal values, which lie within a second value range, in accordance with a second quantization with a large number of quantization steps, wherein the quantization step width between two quantization steps is greater than the quantization step width between two quantization steps of the first quantization.
