The device (1) has a rigidly limited testing chamber (4) enclosing liquid i.e. hydraulic oil. A piston (3) acts on the liquid volume. The test chamber comprises a receiver for receiving a pressure sensor. An electrical drive (2) e.g. rotation motor and linear motor, produces static or dynamic test pressure in the testing chamber by acting on the piston. The electrical drive includes a coil cooperating with a stationarily arranged magnet i.e. permanent magnet. The coil is connected directly with the piston.
