The method involves providing acceleration data and speed data to an evaluation device in a mobile device for moving the mobile device by an acceleration measurement device and a speed measurement device, where the evaluation device is designed by parameterizing user input. The acceleration data and the speed data are evaluated using the evaluation device. An emergency message is sent by the evaluation device when an emergency situation is detected by evaluating the acceleration data and the speed data.
