The arrangement has a fastening element (3) e.g. clip, fitted and retained on welded studs (2) by lugs (8) in form-fit and force-fit manner. A blind hole like opening (18) is centrally arranged at a lower side of the fastening element. An inner diameter of the opening corresponds with an outer diameter of a thread section (5) of the welded studs. The lugs are distributedly arranged an inner circumference of the opening. A surface contour (9) of the fastening element is rotation symmetrically arranged. The fastening element is made of plastic. An independent claim is also included for a method for fastening flat vehicle components to a body shell of a vehicle using a fastening element.
