The connecting device (1) has contact sleeves (9,10) made of electrically conductive material bridging and partially surrounding one of the cable ends (2a,3a). The contact sleeves have openings (9b,10b) extending in a longitudinal direction (L), through which the opposing cable ends are guided in a cable holder (10a) lateral to the longitudinal direction. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an assembly set for manufacturing a connecting device; and (2) a method for mounting a connecting device.
