The module (100) has interfaces (101) for supplying digital card data of a digital card to a driver assistance system or a safety system, where the digital card data have a time-limited certificate to a validation of validity of a region e.g. road section, of the digital card. The certificate is provided by a public authority with the time-limited certificate. A control unit (102) i.e. CPU, is implemented for triggering a transmission of updation from an external transmitter (601) to a communication unit (105), when the time-limited certificate is expired.
