A claw pole generator is substantially provided with a circular permanent magnet and an inner stationary unit with a yoke and a winding. The yoke comprises a first a laminated yoke and a second a laminated yoke. The first and second laminated yokes comprise a disk-like connecting section, arranged on one side of the winding, and a plurality of the outside circumference yoke sections which are arranged between the winding and the permanent magnet with intermediate circumference rooms. Each of the outside circumference yoke sections has a plurality of the outside circumference yoke layers laminated superimposed on the one another along a radial direction with respect to the axial center line of the winding. An outermost of the outer circumference yoke layers, which is closest to the permanent magnet has a longer axial length than an innermost the outside circumference yoke layer.
