The holder (10) has a sleeve (12) provided for a cable (56), and a support (20) provided for the sleeve. The support is connected with a lining (44) i.e. defroster lining, of a vehicle, where the lining is limited to a glass pane. The holder comprises an opening in the support at an exterior side of the holder to displaceably adjust an edge of the sleeve. A locking element (14) e.g. locking tooth, is provided between the support and the sleeve for holding the sleeve. The locking element is extended by a limited region of the sleeve, and the sleeve is in the form of a rigid pipe section.
