Derivatives of cross-linked and carboxymethylated native starch as a carrier or substrate for vitamins, antioxidants, proteins, enzymes, minerals, trace elements, flavorings and active ingredients for use as a meal replacer. By using the 'meal replacer' it is practically and pleasant to create a feeling of satiety to reduce body weight and avoid hunger (CMS diet). The diet is customizable by the user and harmless physiologically and medically for periods of less than four weeks.
