The system (10) has an application programming interface (API) (11) connected to a speech recognition system (20) to be tested by a transmission control protocol/Internet protocol (TCP/IP) data transmission connection. The interface is designed as a logical abstraction layer, where the test system is arranged and provided to determine recognition-performance of the speech recognition system to be tested. The speech recognition system is independent of a real location by simulating an environmental conditions test. An independent claim is also included for a method for automatic testing of a speech recognition system.
