The method for conveying a stream of a liquid containing methacrylic monomer using a conveying pump through a pipe line, in which an aperture is introduced at a position located in a conveying direction of the stream of the liquid behind and/or above the conveying pump for the purpose of measuring and/or limiting the force of the stream of the liquid conveyed through the pipe line, is claimed, where an open permeable cross-section area (Z) of the pipe line for the liquid stream is circular. The aperture contains a partial area of the open circular cross-section area. The method for conveying a stream of a liquid containing methacrylic monomer using a conveying pump through a pipe line, in which an aperture is introduced at a position located in a conveying direction of the stream of the liquid behind and/or above the conveying pump for the purpose of measuring and/or limiting the force of the stream of the liquid conveyed through the pipe line, is claimed, where an open permeable cross-section area (Z) of the pipe line for the liquid stream is circular. The aperture contains a partial area of the open circular cross-section area, so that only the open remaining area of the cross-section area remains at the position. The aperture introduced in the pipe line openly leaves the partial area of the open circular cross-section area as the part of the open remaining area. The contour (U) of the partial area of the open circular cross-section area has a circular arc of the circular contour of the circular cross-section area, which lies in the lower tenth (QF) of the circular contour of the circular cross-section area. An independent claim is included for a method for continuous thermal separation of stream of a mixture containing methacrylic monomer in a thermal separation device.
