Rotational speed adapted damper for use in drive train of motor vehicle, has damping mass that is rotatable relative to flywheel in opposite direction, and annular gap formed by non-circular piston areas and arranged at flywheel and mass
The damper (1) has a damping mass (8) that is rotatable opposite to a flywheel (5) in an opposite direction. The flywheel and the damping mass are arranged over an annular gap (13) in a magnetic circuit (17). The annular gap is formed by non-circular piston areas and arranged at the flywheel and the mass, where shape of the non-circular piston areas is oval or elliptical. The piston areas are axially arranged adjacent to each other. The annular gap has annular gap volume varying by a relative turning angle of the flywheel opposite to the damping mass.
