The supply (6) has three-phase supply networks (L1-L3) attached to a rectifier (1), and a failure detector (1') sending signal to a control device (5). An electrical auxiliary unit (4) exhibits start-up hysteresis, which is effective after shutdown. The electrical auxiliary unit is integrated into the power supply of a printing substrate processing machine. The auxiliary unit is supplied with kinetic energy of the substrate processing machine during voltage drop or voltage breakdown, where the kinetic energy is converted into electrical energy.
