The air flow measurement unit (1), in the air intake of an internal combustion motor, has a jet (2) for an air inflow with a bypass channel (5) to take a part of the flow with a branch bypass (6) to take an air flow from it to a sensor chip (4) to generate a sensor signal. The branch bypass has an inflow (6a) at one side of the bypass channel and at right angles (Y). A horizontal plate (7) limits any reverse air flow.
