A fitting for windows and doors consisting of a stationary frame and a movable sash frame, wherein on the side facing the fixed frame of the casement frame, a circumferential groove is provided, in which the fitting parts are introduced, characterised in that, on the base of the groove and on the fittings part of the holding elements are present, which the fitting parts with respect to the casement frame, without the use of any further fastening elements or tools, and a non-destructive disconnection of the fitting parts permit.
