The tensile bands used to apply tension to the sun-blind fabric (5) are elastic over at least part of their length section. The sun-blind fabric is unwound from or wound-up onto a rotary shaft (1) and is guided by lateral guide rails (9). Tensile bands are attached to the front end (4) of the fabric or to a drop-out tube (7). Tensioning devices for making the fabric taught are also provided.
