The present invention relates to a stable liquid water-based composition having a repellent activity towards harmful and/or troublesome insects, comprising an inclusion compound between a cyclodextrin derivative and a repellent substance towards said insects.The invention also relates to a method of use of said composition for impregnating in a stable manner textile fibers and/or fabrics, so as to give the latter the aforesaid repellent activity, as well as to the fabrics obtained through said method.
