Process for the production of porous calcium phosphate bodies for bone regeneration and as cell carriers, and the resulting porous bodies

Production of porous calcium phosphate article comprises: (i) preparation of a ceramic slip (5) in a liquid using calcium phosphate powder and a deflocculating agent; (ii) modification of the surface activity of the slip in the presence of fixed volume of air or inert gas so as to make the slip porous; (iii) casting the slip in a microporous mold followed by drying and sintering the article to consolidate the resulting structure.
