A receiver acquires the authentication result returned by a user based on the result of transmitted measurement. A transition unit implements a transition into a condition in which the user can use the predetermined function of a functional part according to the result of the received authentication. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) an authenticating method; and (b) an authentication system.
