Method and device for comparing the binary words of deals

The method involves distributing two data words to be compared, where two parts of the data words have a high and low value bits, respectively. Each part of the words is separately compared in a respective comparison installation (10, 11). Intermediate results of the comparison are combined in a combination installation (14) to obtain a global result with respect to a control signal applied to a correction installation (19). The correction installation is arranged between the comparison and combination installation. An independent claim is also included for a device for comparing a binary data word.
