Composition for dyeing keratin fibers, preferably human keratin fibers such as hair, comprises, in a medium, a cationic cellulose ether having 4000-10000 anhydroglucose units having at least one substituent of amine compounds (a) or (b), 2,3-diaminopyrazolone derivatives and/or their addition salts (compounds (A)), and one or more second oxidation dyes (compounds (A)). Composition for dyeing keratin fibers, preferably human keratin fibers such as hair, comprises, in a medium, cationic cellulose ether having 4000-10000 anhydroglucose units having at least one substituent of amine compounds of formula (R 4R 5R 6R 9N +) (X 2 -) (a) or (R 1R 2R 3R 8N +) (X 1 -) (b), 2,3-diaminopyrazolone derivatives and/or their addition salts (compounds (A)), and one or more second oxidation dyes (compounds (A)). R 1-R 5methyl or ethyl; R 68-24C alkyl or aralkyl of which the alkyl part is 8-24C; R 9divalent group, which allows the connection to anhydroglucose group, -(B 1) q-CH 2-CHOH-CH 2- or -CH 2CH 2-; R 8divalent group, which allows the connection to anhydroglucose group, -(A) p-CH 2-CHOH-CH 2- or -CH 2CH 2-; p, q : 0 or 1; A, B 1-(CH 2CH 2O) n-; n, n1 : 1-100; and X 1 -, X 2 -anion. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for oxidation coloring of keratin fibers comprising applying the composition on the fibers; and (2) a device with several compartments comprising at least a first compartment containing the coloring composition and at least a second compartment comprising at least an oxidizing agent.
