The method involves reducing an internal usage space i.e. decanting space (8), of a container (1) by a safety space (9) that is compressible under the action of expansion of decanted liquid i.e. liquefied gas, before the decanting of the liquid, where the safety space is created in the container by introducing a flexible safety pocket (6). A gas phase is aspirated by the container for suppressing the gas phase in a refrigerated installation and forcing the liquid in the installation to pass into the container. An independent claim is also included for a container for receiving a liquid contained in an installation.
