The package has a dimensioned inner compartment for receiving a reel of feedwire. A lateral wall (1a) of one of sides of the package presents a precut line (3) comprising an initial zone (4) formed of a part of the lateral wall of the sides of the package, where the initial zone is considered and shaped to be manually grasped by an operator such that manual traction of the operator on the initial zone causes tearing of the lateral wall of the sides along the precut line. An independent claim is also included for a method for soldering a reel of feedwire using a welding torch.
