Cosmetic process for caring skin weakened and/or damaged preferably by a chemical-, mechanical- and/or physical treatment, comprises applying a composition comprising at least ferulic acid or one of its derivatives in a medium on weakened and/or damaged skin. Independent claims are included for: (1) a cosmetic process-1 for care and/or treatment of the skin, comprising in successive and/or staggered manner: (a) a pre-treating the skin chemically, mechanically and/or physically, and optionally followed by rinsing the skin; and (b) post-treating with topical application of a care composition comprising ferulic acid or its derivative on particular areas of skin treated in step (a); (2) a kit for care and/or treatment of skin comprising: (i) a first composition comprising an agent comprising peeling agent, an exfoliating agent, an antiacne that weaken and/or damage the skin surface, and (ii) a second composition comprising ferulic acid or its derivatives, in a medium; and (3) a kit for shaving and/or epilating of the skin comprising (i) a device for shaving or epilating, which may weaken and/or alter the surface of the skin, and (ii) a composition comprising ferulic acid or its derivatives in a medium.
