Antioxidant composition (I) comprises a synergistic blend of abietic acid derivative and polyphenol extracts from green tea, dispersed in a oily vehicle. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for stabilization of polyunsaturated oils, comprising adding oily (I) (0.02-2 wt.%) in neutral oil; and (2) polyunsaturated oils, preferably food, stabilized chemically by the addition of (I).
