The device has a cylindrical basket (1) with a base (5), and a vat (2) containing volume of water. The basket and the vat are sized to extend the basket in the vat. Outer and inner surfaces of respective side walls of the basket and vat are complementary arranged to place the basket in bottom washing position and top rinsing and draining position. The basket is immersed in the water on major portion of height of the vat in the washing position and maintained above the water surface in the vat in the draining position. The vat has a base with central prominence forming an annular groove (12).
