The device has two covers assembled with each other for defining an internal lining (8) and an external skin (10) respectively for the device. A stiffness reinforcement (12) is interposed between the internal lining and the external skin. The reinforcement is extended from the internal lining in a direction of the external skin along a principal axis passing through the internal lining and the external skin. The reinforcement is arranged opposing a local depression of the external skin, in case of transversal impact. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a door forming device.
