The device has an elastic clamping element (15) arranged inside an anchoring foot (4), where the clamping element is deformable under the action of clamping a clamping screw (10) between a released position and a clamping position. The clamping element is moved apart from walls of the foot in the released position. The clamping element is pressed against the walls of the foot in the clamping position, and exerts frictional forces on the walls for holding the element i.e. roof bar (1), to be fixed. The screw has a head (11) supporting against an edge (6) of the foot.
