The method involves receiving data packet through a virtual control channel by a node e.g. wireless audio renderer, of a synchronous communication network during a transaction, where the data packet is emitted by another node e.g. wireless audio decoder, of the communication network. Remaining life time information for the transaction is obtained by the former node from the data packet. Initiation of another transaction is blocked by the former node via the virtual control channel allocated to the former node, during remaining life time of the former transaction. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a transmitted signal formed by data packets in a synchronous communication network (2) a computer program product comprising instructions to perform a method for transmitting data packets in a synchronous communication network (3) a storage unit comprising instructions to perform a method for transmitting data packets in a synchronous communication network (4) a device for transmitting data packets in a synchronous communication network.
