The head (20) has a separator constituted by a curved sector (23) movably mounted to take a depositing position and a retracted position. The sector presents a peeling edge (25) upstream of a depositing roller (21) and immediately near the roller such that a tangent (T) to the sector at the location of the edge in the depositing position forms a wide angle (alpha) with a rectilinear downstream path. The sector is partly retracted over the roller such that the tangent in the retracted position forms another angle in a direction contrary to the former angle, with the path.
