The prosthesis has a femoral implant (1) comprising a median cage (6) delimited by lateral walls (7), in which openings (8a, 8b) are arranged. One of the openings has a diameter slightly less than that of one of end portions (10a, 10b) of a pin (10) to permit the pin to be engaged in the opening. Diameters of the opening and the portion permit the portion to be forcibly engaged in the opening. The portion is arranged on an end of the pin such that the pin does not project beyond faces of the lateral walls situated on an exterior of the cage after positioning of the pin.
