SLEEPING SNAPSHOT NODES OF A LINK NETWORK BY TRANSMITTING MESSAGE (S) FOR PREPARING TO STANDBY PRIOR TO A MESSAGE OF SLEEP

A method is dedicated to the standby of a local interconnection network (or LIN) comprising a bus (B) to which are connected a master node (NM) and at least one slave node (NES) of so-called secure type. This method comprises i) a first step in which the master node (NM) transmits on the bus (B) at least one sleep preparation message which is intended to signal to each secure slave node (NES) that it has just initiated a standby procedure to prepare for standby, and ii) a second step, after the first step, in which the master node (NM) transmits on the bus (B) a sleep message intended to trigger the network standby of each of the slave nodes. Each secure slave node (NES) is arranged to enter a network standby state in the absence of reception of the sleep message that follows the transmission of a readiness message to the sleep of a procedure shutdown triggered.
