Circuit breaker for interrupting current that passes in conductor, has magnetic branch with additional magnetic resistance that is reduced automatically for current higher than rated current of breaker by magnetic forces producing in branch
The breaker has a main magnetic circuit (5) passing around a conductor (2), and a winding (6) with a core formed by a part of the main magnetic circuit. A diversion magnetic branch (7) is mounted in parallel to the core of the winding, where the branch has additional magnetic resistance. The additional magnetic resistance is reduced automatically for current higher than rated current of the breaker, in case of short circuit, by magnetic forces producing in the branch to obtain an efficient reduction of magnetic resistance in the branch. The main magnetic circuit is under a form of an annular ring core made of a metallic alloy, crystalline, amorphous or silicium-fer nanocrystalline.
