The frame has lateral support bows (1) articulated on an optical/solar facade, and made of flexible material e.g. metal or plastic. Each bow has an opening to receive a decoration insert (3) whose contour corresponds to that of the opening. The bow and/or the insert have positioning units to position the insert in the opening. The bow has a locking unit to lock the insert in position in the opening, by tightening the insert between the locking unit and elastically deformable plates (4, 4') of the bow. The insert is made of synthetic material, precious/non-precious metal, wood or stone. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a spectacle frame.
