The net (1) has webbing (2) whose outer meshes (3) are threaded on a mounting yarn (4) that is provided with a set of loops (7) on length of the mounting yarn. Each loop is mounted on a ballast and/or water line (5) e.g. bolt-rope, composed of wound strands (6). The loops of the mounting yarn are introduced across the water line between the strands. Each loop is associated to a lock wire that assures maintenance of the loops between the strands of the line. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a mounting yarn and a water/ballast line formed of strands.
