The method involves determining an estimated value of pressure by calculating an average of series of pressure measurements obtained by a sensor (14) or couple of differential pressure sensors. One of the pressure measurements, is carried out at a moment of cycle of alternative pistons of an internal combustion engine (1), calculated from a detection of a passage of the piston by its top dead centre. Other pressure measurements, is carried out at similar moment of cycle of the piston, calculated from a detection of another passage of the piston by its bottom dead centre. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for controlling regeneration phases of a particle filter of a motor vehicle (2) a motorization system for motor vehicle comprising a piston sliding in a cylinder.
