UV radiation blocking lining improving method for wood veneer of e.g. interior trim, in motor vehicle, involves exposing wood samples covered with lining to light, and determining efficiency of lining in terms of protection of wood samples

The method involves exposing samples of same variety of wood to light in different wave length intervals for aging the samples. Sensibility of the wood samples in each wave length interval is determined by measuring decoloration of the aged samples. A UV radiation blocking lining (12) is prepared by mixing a substrate e.g. acrylic solution, and nano-particles e.g. ceramic particles. The wood samples covered with the lining are exposed to light. Efficiency of the lining in terms of protection of the wood samples is determined.
