The device has a plate (1) comprising mechanical pins to prevent translation of a memory card reader, and a mechanism for positioning a column support (3) at a left side or a right side of the plate. A module support (5) allows fixation or liberation of an electronic barcode reader module (6), where the module support is supported by a column (4). The column support has units co-operating with the column to choose and fix a rotational angle of the column around a vertical axis of the column.
