The actuator (1) has an evaporator-condenser device comprising an evaporator (21) integrated to energy dissipating parts of the actuator, and a condenser (23) separated from the energy dissipating parts. A tube (22) connects the evaporator and the condenser. The evaporator, condenser and the tube form a closed enclosure that receives fluid e.g. helium, balanced between a vapor phase and a liquid phase. The fluid is circulated in the form of vapor between the evaporator and the condenser, and in the form of liquid between the condenser and the evaporator.
