The continuous coating apparatus comprises a reaction chamber (1) comprising a soft steel tank covered inside and outside by plastic reinforced fibers (FRP) for increased security and to avoid any leakage of electrical energy. The reaction chamber contains an alkaline electrolyte solution (2) comprising potassium hydroxide and sodium tetrasilicate deionized or distilled in water, and is provided with perforated nylon plates (3). The plates are attached to each other at each corner, and fixed and removable along the longitudinal walls of the reaction chamber. The continuous coating apparatus comprises a reaction chamber (1) comprising a soft steel tank covered inside and outside by plastic reinforced fibers (FRP) for increased security and to avoid any leakage of electrical energy. The reaction chamber contains an alkaline electrolyte solution (2) comprising potassium hydroxide and sodium tetrasilicate deionized or distilled in water, and is provided with perforated nylon plates (3). The plates are attached to each other at each corner, and fixed and removable along the longitudinal walls of the reaction chamber. The nylon plate is equipped with three nylon stock guide (4) and three copper rods able to rotate the rods freely. Each of the copper rods have a circular geometry, and is connected separately in phases R, Y and B of the power supply using copper rings of high-conductivity having a circular internal geometry. Each phase is provided with two thyristors (6) connected back to back in parallel. The outlets of thyristors are connected to copper rods using three current transformers, three collecting nylon rods of which each is capable of rotation by rotating unit provided for collecting the metal strip. The chamber has an inlet hole for the electrolyte provided at the bottom of the reaction chamber and two outlet holes for the electrolyte provided on the opposite side with respect to the side of the inlet hole at the top of the reaction chamber. An independent claim is included for a process for continuous formation of thin ceramic coatings on plate type metal strip, sheets or thread.
