The device has a holographic imager with a phase modulator for successively displaying intermediate images (I-INT) over a determined period, and projection units for projecting optical Fourier transform (I-P) of the images. An output image (I-S) in Fourier space is reconstructed over another determined period by adding another set of intermediate images displayed on the modulator. Calculation units determine a target image (I-T) by using Fourier transform of the output image, and error detection units (C) compare an input image (I-E) and the target image.
