The compress (1) has an electronic chip (2) fixed on a part of the compress using a silicone liner. The silicone liner ensures protection of the electronic chip. The electronic chip provides storable information on a barcode reader (3), where the information is stored on a medium e.g. computer. The barcode reader is passed over the compress in order to collect the number and the identification of the compress.
