Vibration damper characteristics e.g. torque, measuring method for clutch plate of motor vehicle, involves bringing back outlet element of vibration damper of clutch plate, at high angular velocity, to its rest position
The method involves displacing an outlet element (13) i.e. furrowed unit, of a vibration damper of a clutch plate, at high angular velocity, in a forward direction till a hysteresis control point of a main damper. The outlet element is then displaced at low angular velocity around the control point of the main damper. Torque applied to an inlet element i.e. friction disk (10), of the vibration damper at the control point of the main damper and an angular position of the outlet element are measured. The outlet element is brought back, at high angular velocity, to its rest position. The high and low angular velocities are 25 degree per second and 0.5 degree per second, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a device for measuring characteristics of a vibration damper of a clutch plate, comprising an inlet element guiding unit.
