The system has a luminous indicator (3) connected to a taximeter (2) by a power supply circuit (31) to display the state of the taximeter. The circuit controls the indicator to prevent the taximeter from a running state, when an operation of the indicator is abnormal. A complementary device (5) i.e. time clock, switches between running and inactive states corresponding to the state of the taximeter. The complementary device comprises a braking device (8) i.e. relay, connected in series with the circuit. The braking device is kept opened, when the complementary device is in the inactive state.
