The method involves transforming a perceived signal into data by utilizing processing units (210), and executing instructions to generate a specific signal e.g. optical signal, in which values of predetermined parameters are executed. The generated signal is captured by utilizing sensors (220, 230) e.g. optical sensors, and is decoded to obtain the values of predetermined parameters. The values of predetermined parameters are utilized to establish a connection between a communicating equipment (200) and a wireless access point (100). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computing system intended to allow connection of a communicating equipment to a wireless access point by a wireless channel requiring sending of predetermined connection parameter (2) a communicating equipment intended to be communicating with an access point by a wireless channel requiring sending of a predetermined connection parameter.
