The basin (1) has a peripheral mural wall (2) delimiting an interior of the basin, and an external peripheral zone (3) extending on a part of circumference of the mural wall. The peripheral zone includes a surface coating (31) and consoles (4). Each console is in a right-angled triangle shape. A support side (41) of the console is supported against the mural wall. Another support side (42) supports a part of the surface coating. The consoles are isolated from each other by spacers (5). Each spacer maintains a predetermined spacing between the adjacent consoles.
