The device e.g. simple articulated drawbar (2), has an end equipped with a ball box (11) intended to be encased on a rear hitch ball (9) in bottom of a case of a truck tractor, where the drawbar is assembled on a cradle by a base plate (26) fixed under front and rear cross-pieces (15, 14) that are connected at their ends by two side profiles (16). A front face of the base plate is folded towards top above the front cross-piece, where the folding of the front face is reinforced by welding flat profiles (29) on an edge if required.
