The directory has a memory zone for storing personal data of subscribed clients in the form of addresses, where the directory is in the form of a site and located in a server accessible by public via a computer network for searching the addresses using computers connected to the network. A space in the server is accessible by each client for updating, in real time, the personal data contained in modifiable fields, where access to the space is authorized by an identification code of the client. An independent claim is also included for a method for implementing an address directory.
