The cylinder has a master cylinder body (1) with a bore (15) i.e. annular groove, provided along an axis of the cylinder. The body has a hollow shaft (3) in which primary and secondary pistons (60, 61) slide, where the shaft is made of plastic material. Cup shaped annular joints (25, 27) are localized in an external wall of the shaft, and has flexible external lips (26, 28), respectively. Each lip supplies brake fluid to one of primary and secondary pressure chambers (17, 18) of the cylinder from a brake fluid reservoir when the request for the fluid is made in a brake circuit of a vehicle.
