The bungalow has a rigid chassis arranged at a base (1), and a floor fixed on the chassis. The chassis includes a frame comprising two longitudinal supports i.e. longitudinal metal sections (20, 21), and two transversal supports i.e. transversal metal sections (22, 23). Walls (2, 6) are mounted on the longitudinal and transversal supports. The frame includes transversal sections (24, 25) forming stiffeners that connect the longitudinal sections and are arranged parallel to the transversal sections. A longitudinal corner (27) is fixed to the transverse sections. An independent claim is also included for a method for lifting a bungalow.
